Haftorah Audio - Trop Demo
Here is a demonstration of the basic Trop (cantillation marks) used on HaftorahAudio.com:
There are several variations of trop used in different synagogues, and no trop is more "correct" than the others.
On Haftorah Audio we have chosen a fairly common system of trop that is standard in many communities.
** While it may be tempting to begin learning a Haftorah by attempting to just memorize the melody of the entire text, it is MUCH better
to take the time to learn the actual trop first, and only then apply it to your particular Haftorah.
